On Forgiveness

 ON THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS AGAIN!

 I said: I am not praying for the forgiveness of my sins anymore.
 It’s an old fashioned habit, for I know now that I am a child of God.

 You said: 'Jesus died because of your sins'
  
 I said: I have turned my life around, repented and confessed
 Am now living out of God’s goodness and mercy.

 You said: 'Jesus died because of your sins'
  
 I said: I now live in the love of God
 And did acknowledge once long ago 
 That I am a sinner, forgiven 
 Sealed by the Spirit, done once and for all.

 You said: 'Jesus died because of your sins'
  
 I said: But as Christ who was once crucified,
 Died and was buried, of which I remember and
 Celebrate, partaking in the Lord Supper. 
 Repeats do not change.

 You said: 'Jesus died because of your sins'
  
 I said: I know my only comfort in life and in death
 Is because Jesus paid the price for me.
 I must now go and claim his promises.

 You said: 'Jesus died because of your sins'
  
 I said: I know my Christian calling, so I help
 Where’re I can to give a cup of cold water,
 Living for You God, my family and my neighbour.

 You said: 'Jesus died because of your sins'
  
 I said: Lord, You show me again and again 
 how to walk with you on the paths of the righteous 
 In Your WORD, for your name sake and by your mercy.

 He said: 'Though your sins be as scarlet 
 They shall be as white as……….'
  
 I interrupted Him and said: I know all that but 
 why again and again and again and again.
 
 You replied: Because I love you, I died to take away your sins,
and make you whole.
